Our Journey to self-sustainability: Goat farming

In April 2022 through sponsorship from Safaricom Foundation, we started goat farming to help us in our bid to become self-sustaining. The Ubani team went through training on goat farming. The lessons included goat breeds, diseases, agribusiness management and value addition.

The training was facilitated by Hand In Hand in partnership with Safaricom. After the training, 50 goats, 30 does and 20 bucks were bought. The team then tagged and dewormed the goats.
