Marcy Oyoo

Founder

Has worked with girls and women who have been victims of sexual exploitation for over eight years. Through this vocation, she learned about teenagers and young mothers in prostitution. She rallied like-minded friends and began Ubani Trust.  She is passionate about discipling young people and equipping them with skills to better their lives. She brings on board her expertise in strategic planning, program development and management, organizational management, and leadership skills.

Alice Kanda

Co-Founder

Enthusiastic about empowering and supporting young women. 

Her passion is to eradicate prostitution, sexual abuse, teenage pregnancies, by supporting movements that fight harmful practices like FGM and vouching for early interventions and mitigation strategies. She is a wife, a mother, and an active member in her church.

Sylvia Njuki

Co-Founder

 

A graduate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nairobi. She is passionate about the development and psycho-social well being of children and has worked in different organizations like Kenyatta National Hospital, Childline Kenya, and St Martin CSA. She brings onboard diverse experience in child counseling, addiction counseling, and management of mental illnesses. She is a wife and a mother committed to the things of God. 

Dr. Sammy Mang'eli

Chair

Brings a wealth of expertise in the areas of strategic planning, resource mobilization, organization management skills, pastoral care, and leadership.  He is passionate about transformation and seeing real change happen. He is a husband, a father and a man zealous for God.

Jaquiline Iwiya

Vice-Chair

Has strong commercial acumen with diverse experience in strategy, development, and building brands. She is passionate about innovations that generate new or unique solutions. She develops and leverages relationships to appropriately stretch and impact performance by delivering results, creating value for brands, customers, key stakeholders, and the overall business ecosystem. She is passionate about delivering business missions and inspiring hope in people. She is a wife, a mother, and an active member in her church. 

Frankline Juma

Legal 

Franklin serves in the board as our legal advisor. He is passionate about service to people and God and brings so much to the table.

He is a husband, a father of two daughters and an active member of his Church.

Joanne Waweru

  A chemist by training, Joanne veered off working in research to serve young people. A young  person herself, she is driven by the desire to see a transformed young people - young people  who believe in themselves, and their God given abilities, who can articulate their issues and  who are looking to provide solutions, not just for themselves but for their society and the  world at large. This ambition has seen her work with organizations that are geared towards  achieving this.  

 

Joanne enjoys facilitating workshops and training sessions on various topics for people of all  ages. Due to her organizational skills and love for details, Joanne has planned and executed a  variety of high-level events in various countries across Africa.  She volunteers in the youth ministry of her Church.

Roseanne Kinyua

Education being one of the pillars of Ubani Trust, Roseanne brings a wealth of expertise first as an educationist and second as someone who has an experience running a scholarship program under Kinyua Ngeera Education Foundation. Roseanne is a very gifted singer and has used this together with other gifted musicians and singers to raise funds for School fees and school support of needy children.

Frank Koine

An entrepreneur in the entertainment industry. He is a gifted musician and music producer. He is passionate about social justice and is part of Toccata Music Productions; a music performance charitable organization based in the UK. He has contributed to Toccata’s efforts to reach vulnerable communities in Kenya, India, and Sri Lanka. Through his work in live music production, he has traveled to various places including Germany, New Zealand, Norway, India, Sri Lanka, and the USA as a musician, cultural ambassador, and music missionary. 

Frank is a husband and father currently serving as a missionary in Germany.

Programs Director

Finance and Admin Lead

Her love for order and systems makes it so much easier for Jemimah to help organise us. This is compounded by her experience in organisational administration.

Dorothy Musimbi

Pastoral and Learning Coordinator

 

Dorothy is a mother of 3.She has 17 years of experience working with teenagers. She is passionate about working with the broken to help them find healing.
Having gone through brokenness herself, she not only brings her experience of work but also her lived experiences which she uses in helping the beneficiaries.
She believes that her purpose is to reach the world with the love of Christ and the world of God.

Milkah Malika

Social Service Coordinator

A professional counselling psychologist with over four years experience.Working with youth and children gives her a deep  sense of fulfilment  and satisfaction. She is a born again Christian, a wife and a mother of three. She enjoys baking in her free time. 

Caroline Onyango

Counselling Services Coordinator

Has over six years of experience in the rehabilitation of women in prostitution. She uses her expertise and skills to train our beneficiaries. She is an excellent counselor and trainer. Her passion is in people development and likes sharing the skills she has with others. She is a wife, a mother and a devout Christian.

Joyce Ooro

House Mother

Aunty Joyce, as fondly called by everyone, manages our shelter, Hope Centre. Her motherly posture and her gentleness has been a great resource to the ministry and especially to the girls at the shelter. Her training in counseling is an added advantage to her work. 

Gloria Hope Achieno

Social Enterprise Assistant

Passionate artist whose artistry fuels her creativity, while Social Enterprise Coordination fuels her purpose which is, to transform lives through artistic expressions and economic empowerment

Georgina Ndinda

House Assistant

Georgina supports the House Mother in the running of Hope Centre. In addition, she helps take care of all the social work issues at the shelter.

Her passion for mentoring young mothers allows her to have a greater impact in the lives of our beneficiaries.

Esther Tabu

Child Development and welfare Assistant

Esther is passionate about issues child development and welfare. She supports the social work department in ensuring no child is left unattended to. She plans their care, play therapy and visits to hospital.

She is a mother of two boys. She is currently pursuing a diploma in project management.
