For the first half of this year we have had two learning outings. One was a team building activity and the other was a visit to the CGTN Studios. For the team building event we had different games that forced us to work together as a team with the focus on winning. We then had some dance and swimming. It was so much fun. For some of the girls, this was their first time getting into a pool.
The visit to CGTN Studios was a great experience. The girls got to interact with some of the tv personalities and learn from them. They were inspired on how they can use media to tell their stories to impact their communities. Some were inspired to want to pursue journalism and broadcasting as careers.
We are appreciative of different individuals and businesses in our community that have embraced us and offered opportunities for learning and interaction.
