How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!

Psalm 133:1

Every once in three years, we gather as Christian practitioners working in counter trafficking in persons sector. The gathering happens as a convening of International Christian Alliance on Prostitution. The purpose for these gatherings are for learning from each other, strengthening one another, challenging and inspiring one another from God's Word and reconnecting and networking. The work we do can be so emotionally draining and a place to recharge is usually very welcoming.

This year the African gathering happened at Bishoftu in Ethiopia, hosted by Ellilta Women At Risk. About 50 people from South Africa, Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, with our partners from Thailand and US, gathered from 17th to 21st March. We had different speakers speaking on different topic with the theme of the Gathering being on Belonging. We also had the opportunity to visit Ellilta Women At Risk and learn from them on how they run the programs to support women coming out of prostitution. We were honoured to be joined by Dr. Lauran Bethell, who is the president of ICAP Global and is one of the founders of ICAP.

It was such a beautiful time of learning, prayer, beautiful conversations and connections. We are grateful for the support of ICAP leadership and partners that made this trip possible. Four of our staff members were able to travel and be part of this.
